Uganda National Roads Authority

The department is responsible for managing Mechanical Services in the Authority including but not limited to road maintenance equipment, vehicle fleet management, ferries and axle load weighbridges.

Key Functions

1. Preparation of technical specifications for vehicles, road equipment and ferries.
2. Preparation of standard bid documents of procurement of mechanical services.
3. Periodic inspection of vehicles, equipment and ferries.
4. Preparation of work plans and budget for mechanical services.
5. Maintain a register of garages for maintenance and repairs of vehicles and plants.
6. Maintenance of Weighbridges.
