Welcome to our Website. I see this website as an important forum in which UNRA interfaces with stakeholders, the general public and other major players in the road sector.
The importance of the road sector in the dynamics of national development cannot be over emphasised. To build a strong national economy, a strong administrative system and a strong socio-political infrastructure you need to build roads. Is it any surprise therefore that all empire builders of old like the Roman Emperors and the colonial administrations emphasised the building of roads.
Since the roads sector is at the centre of national development, we at the Uganda National Roads Authority feel privileged to play such a central role in our country’s development. Yet to achieve the goals for which the government set up UNRA, we have to have belief in a set of values and ideals which should guide our day-today operations.
These values should be balanced with the expectations from the stakeholders in the road sector namely: the government as the primary benefactor, the general public, development partners and our service providers.
